Understanding Ingram's Karate Yearly Schedule and Price Structure for Consistent Training

Starting a karate journey requires commitment and clear expectations. One key aspect families often look for is a stable training schedule paired with transparent pricing. At Ingram's Karate, we understand how important it is for students and their families to plan ahead without surprises. This post explains how Ingram's Karate organizes its yearly schedule, including planned closures, and how our pricing reflects these breaks to provide consistent tuition throughout the year.

How Ingram's Karate Structures the Training Year

Our karate program runs on a yearly calendar designed to balance consistent training with necessary breaks. We operate for 47 weeks annually, allowing students to develop skills steadily while giving instructors time to recharge and participate in important events.

Scheduled Closures Throughout the Year

To maintain high-quality instruction and accommodate national events, Ingram's Karate closes on specific dates:

  • National Holidays: We observe all major national holidays, ensuring families can enjoy these special days without missing classes unexpectedly.

  • Thanksgiving Break: The dojo closes for one full week during Thanksgiving. This break allows families to celebrate and rest.

  • Winter Break: We close for two weeks in winter, typically around the end of December and early January. This pause helps students and instructors refresh after a busy training period. For exact dates please see your county's school calendar as we will coincide with how the local county schools structure their closing dates.

  • Spring Break: One week off during spring break which also coincides with your local county school calendar.

  • Summer Break: We close for one week in summer so our instructors can travel to National Championship Competitions at the early part of July; we're especially proud of this event as our instructors and team take great pride in representing Ingram's Karate and gaining valuable experience.

These planned closures are consistent every year, allowing families to anticipate and plan around them.

Why Our Price Structure Includes 47 Weeks of Training

Many martial arts schools charge monthly tuition that fluctuates depending on the number of classes or weeks in a month. This can make budgeting difficult for families. At Ingram's Karate, we take a different approach.

Consistent Tuition for Peace of Mind

Our pricing is based on 47 weeks of training per year, which already accounts for all scheduled closures. This means:

  • Families pay the same tuition every month.

  • There are no surprise charges or refunds when classes are canceled for holidays or breaks.

  • Students can focus on their progress without worrying about fluctuating fees.

This approach simplifies budgeting and builds trust with families who want reliable, predictable costs.

Example of How Pricing Works

If the annual tuition is divided by 12 months, each monthly payment covers the full year of training, including the weeks when the dojo is closed. For example:

  • Annual tuition covers 47 weeks of classes.

  • Tuition is split evenly across 12 months.

  • Families pay the same amount each month, regardless of holidays or breaks.

This method ensures transparency and makes planning easy and predictable .

Benefits of Our Yearly Schedule and Pricing Model

Steady Progress Without Interruptions

By training consistently for 47 weeks, students develop their skills steadily. The planned breaks provide time to rest and avoid burnout, which is essential for long-term improvement.

Instructor Development and Competition Participation

Closing for one week in summer allows our instructors to attend National Championship Competitions. This experience benefits students because instructors bring back new techniques and insights, enhancing the quality of training.

Family-Friendly Planning

Knowing the dojo’s closed dates in advance helps families schedule vacations, holidays, and other activities without missing important classes. The consistent tuition means families can plan their finances without surprises.

How to Make the Most of the Training Year

To get the best results from Ingram's Karate, students and families should:

  • Mark the closed weeks on their calendar to avoid scheduling conflicts.

  • Use breaks for rest and recovery, which helps prevent injuries and keeps motivation high.

  • Attend classes regularly during open weeks to maintain steady progress.

  • Engage with instructors about goals and progress to stay motivated and focused.

Severe Weather:

Here in Florida, we know a little bit about severe weather. That's why we don't take the decision to close lightly when it comes to safety on the road for our students and staff. If your county has decided to close school due to severe weather your dojo location will follow that lead and close as well. In the event that we have a need to close the dojo due to extreme weather conditions, we will always provide information about make up classes in the event that this happens.
