The competitive season is underway and the team at Ingram's has been working tirelessly since the fall. Our season opener was a huge success and all of the sensei at Ingram's couldn't be more proud of our athletes! Now it's time to set our sights on February 19th where the Ingram's team will take on the next challenge in Ft. Pierce, FL.
"The team has been focused on making this 2022 season a huge success!" Says Sensei Jen Davenport, head instructor at Ingram's of New Port Richey. "We started preparing earlier in the fall and since last year was small because of covid, we wanted to be extra ready for a boom in competition this January."
Now that the tournament season has begun, Ingram's Karate athletes and Sensei are looking forward to the challenge of trying to take home the gold.
Not only are competitive karate events a great way to take a martial artist to the next level, they are also a fun way to bond with other Ingram's students and get to meet so many new friends from around the state of Florida who also share a love of traditional karate!
Stay tuned for more updates about the competitive season as we push on toward the AAU National Competition this summer which will be held in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Followed by the World Championships to take place the week after. Surely Ingram's athletes will be setting their sights on these endeavors, and we hope you'll follow along on the journey!
