-Half Lady Half Sea Serpent


What is the significance of Mizu Gami's hands?

-One hand is clenched in a fist; the other is open indicating that she prefers peace. Together they mean "I want peace, but I'll fight if I have to."


What is the meaning of the 4 stars at the top of the patch?

-One represents Master Shimabuku and the others represent his 3 main instructors: Motobu Choki, Miyagi Chojun, Kyan Chotoku.


What does the dragon on the patch signify?

-It could represent Master Shimabuku (his first name means Dragon Boy when roughly translated)

-It could also be a symbol of good luck


What does the yellow ring around the patch represent?

-The ring of fire from Master Shimabuku's dream


What is the entire meaning of the patch?

-Stay Calm in times of danger
