branch of Ingram's Pro Karate Center!
One instructor at the Dunedin Community Center branch is Sensei Shawn Roof. Sensei Shawn is a member of the AAU USA team. Shawn is a 2nd degree black belt and has been one of Ingram's top instructors and competitors for 9 years.
Also, Sensei Shelby McLane. Sensei Shelby started her training at the Dunedin Community Center in 2002. She is an amazing teacher and athlete.
Also instructing in Dunedin is Sensei Steve Kenneman. Sensie Steve has been with Ingram's Karate since the 80's. He had a real passion for the art and sharing it with others.
Ingram's Senseis endeavor to teach thier students that being a good martial artist is being a good example for others - both inside and outside karate class.
One of the ways this is accomplished with kids is through the use of JOBLISTS : Your child will receive a "job list" which is to be filled out and returned each week. Every week that a signed job list is turned in, your child will receive a "karate dollar" that can be used to purchase items in our "karate dollar store". If there is a problem that you would like a Sensei to discuss with your child, write a note at the bottom of the UNSIGNED job list and we will be glad to help.
The little DRAGONS class (ages 3-5) doesn't do a job list, they instead will earn stripes on their karate belt every 4 classes as long as they are following all of the "dragon codes".
Classes are held at the Dunedin, Florida, Community Center every TUESDAY and THURSDAY for Children and Adults at the following times:
